After getting to know the ideas and concepts associated with participatory, competence-oriented learning, these approaches, ideas or theories need to be put into practice. They are reflected in the mindset of the facilitators, in concepts for learning processes and also in the way the logistical and organizational aspects are handled.

Difference between Planning and Organizing

  • Fundamental democratic values such as respect, transparency, accountability and solidarity are strongly connected with the facilitators' mindset. Preparation is in this sense also a self-reflection.
  • Other principles are connected with learning design: For example, how to make nice ideas such as competence-centered and experiential learning and participatory processes happen. This is what we call planning.
  • Organizing, however, describes the logistical and management aspects of preparation.
